The installation of the Job Server is based on the Stand-Alone installation (see Stand-Alone installation).
The optional function (Optional Feature) has to be installed for the Job Server:
- Start EEC
- Open Help > Install new software....
- In the Use field select the --All available sites-- or de.eplan.eec.install.optfeatures entry from the drop-down list.
- Expand the EEC Optional Features path.
- Select the Job Server Feature entry.
- Click [Next >].
The function to be installed is only listed so that the selection can be checked.
- Click [Next >].
- Accept the license terms.
- Click [Finish].
Note:
The Job Server can be set up as a Windows server and can be run without a user interface.
Note:
Up to four Workers together with a Job Server can be run on a workstation or server to create schematics and 3D graphics with EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel. To do this at least four different ports have to be specified for P8 (see Open ports for EPLAN P8 connection).
