The start screen
After starting EPLAN Smart Wiring and entering your user name, the start view of the application is shown on the screen. In the title bar you can set the desired user interface language by using the flag symbol. At the right edge of the screen you have access to the displayed flyout menu. Your user name that you have used for logging with either the Windows login or the EPLAN Smart Wiring internal login is displayed in the status bar at the lower edge of the screen.
Information and display areas after opening or continuing a project
As soon as you have opened or continued a project in EPLAN Smart Wiring the following display areas are shown on the screen:
The title bar
Apart from the language and menu selection, the title bar of the application offers the following project-specific information and functionalities:
- <Project name>: <Project instanceA project instance is a copy of the initial project that you load as a project file via the menu items "Project > Open" of the main menu. ID>
- Progress: <Number of the routing connections already installed> / <Number of the total existing routing connections>
- The
button allows you to write a Project comment and send it via e-mail.
The connection list
The routing connections existing in the loaded project file are displayed for processing of the installation status.
For every routing connection the most important information on the connection properties is displayed in a detailed view. In the detailed view buttons are also available with which you determine, print and navigate in the 3D viewThe 3D view is a separate display area in EPLAN Smart Wiring. This is always visible when 3D information is available in the loaded project. the installation status of the routing connection.
The 3D view
The 3D view appears as a separate display area at the right-hand edge of the connection list. This display area is only visible in EPLAN Smart Wiring if you have loaded a project file of the *.EPDZ type generated with EPLAN Pro Panel. In the 3D view the graphic information contained in the project file is used to visualize the mounting layouts contained in the individual layout spaces including the routing connections.
