The Start window

After EPLAN Smart Wiring has been started, the Start window is displayed. In the title bar of the window you can set the desired user interface language by means of the flag symbol and you have access to the flyout menu of the application. Your user name that you have used for logging with either the Windows login or the EPLAN Smart Wiring internal login is displayed in the status bar at the lower edge of the window.

Project data in the title bar

If a project is opened or continued, the following information about the project is displayed in the title bar of the application in addition to the language and menu selection:

• <Project name>: <Project instanceA project instance is a copy of the initial project that you load as a project file via the menu items "Project > Open" of the main menu. ID>
• Status: <Number of the routing connections already installed> / <Number of the total existing routing connections>.
• The button allows you to write a Project comment and send it via e-mail.

The connection list

The connection list shows all the routing connections of the project, of the currently selected layout space or the enclosure. For every routing connection the most important information on the connection properties is displayed in a detailed view. In the detailed view buttons are also available with which you influence the wiring status of the routing connection.

The 3D view

The 3D viewThe 3D view is a separate display area in EPLAN Smart Wiring. This is always visible when 3D information is available in the loaded project. appears at the right-hand edge of the connection list. It is only visible in EPLAN Smart Wiring if you have loaded a project file of the *.EPDZ type generated with EPLAN Pro Panel. In this view the graphic information contained in the project file is used to visualize the mounting layouts (enclosures) contained in the individual layout spaces including the routing connections.
