The Quick snap feature will help you select symbols and macros quicker, and place them more reliably on the desired connections.
Precondition:
You have opened a page, form, plot frame or symbol.
- Select the menu item Options > Quick snap to activate or deactivate this option.
Select symbols by using Quick snap
- Select the menu items Options > Quick snap, to activate the Quick snap option.
- Hold down [Q], before you move the cursor over a symbol.
The insertion point of the symbol will be used as the snap point, meaning, the cursor will be strongly pulled to the insertion point. This is indicated by a small circle in the graphical editor.
Place symbols by using Quick snap
- Select the menu items Options > Quick snap, to activate the Quick snap option.
- First select the desired action (for example Insert > Symbol), and press the [Q] key.
In this case, the activated Quick snap affects the connecting points of the symbols. The connecting points of a symbol then have the tendency to be pulled to an existing or possible connection line. This is indicated by a small double-cross in the graphical editor.
The Quick snap is deactivated again after the action has been performed.
