Extended Numbering via the Configuration of the Segment Definitions

In the past you could only specify differing numbering settings than for the other segments for PCT loops in pre-planning. You can now specify different settings for numbering for the individual segment definitions.

Benefit:

The configuration of the segment definitions was extended by the numbering settings. This way it is now possible to determine different settings for numbering for the individual segment definitions (for example different numbering for sensors in contrast to actuators).

For this reason the corresponding settings such as the Start value, Increment, etc. have been removed from the dialog Settings: Numbering / PCT loops. Specification of the numbering is now carried out during the configuration of segment definitions.

To this purpose the renamed tab Numbering / availability of the dialog Configure segment definitions has been extended (menu path: Project data > Pre-planning > Configure segment definitions). The familiar setting options are available to you in the new group box Designation numbering.

These settings in the configuration are also used for the numbering of PCT loops via the menu item Number PCT loops.

Numbering for structure identifiers

With the new version you can now also carry out settings for the numbering of structure identifiers. To this purpose the Number column has been added to the renamed table Write protection and numbering for structure identifier. Through the selection of a corresponding entry in the table the respective structure identifiers can now not only be numbered consecutively, but also be excluded from numbering or be numbered like the designation of the segments. The respective drop-down list in the Number column is only available if the write protection is not activated.

These extensions apply to both the structure identifiers of the structure segments and the individual components of the structure identifiers at the other segments (such as the Higher-level function (single component) property at planning objects, PCT loops, etc.). In addition, the "Symbolic address" is now also available in the table. Correspondingly this property can be set to read-only or be numbered at the segments.
