Routing Connections in a Wiring System

Apart from wire ducts or free routing paths, connections can also be routed in a wiring system. To this purpose requirements were created in the software and a recommended working method was defined.

Preparations in the outline editor for extrusions

An element of the wiring system is the wiring comb which is used for the fixation of the wires without the usage of a mounting panel and wire ducts.

Wiring combs are realized in EPLAN as a user-defined rail on the basis of an extrusion outline.

Place a user-defined rail with such a stored outline extrusion (*.fc2). Then these logic elements generate two mounting surfaces with an item designation of the same name "Wiring comb front" and "Wiring comb rear".

As a result the connections on the front are routed through the wiring cut-outs to the rear into the routing ranges during the routing.

Benefit:

You can use the logic elements and mounting surfaces for wiring combs to route connections in wiring systems quickly and conveniently.
