You can use the Configure protection dialog to assign a manual change protection specifically to one or more pages, functions or segments.
Preconditions:
- You have opened a project.
- You have selected a function in the graphical editor or in a navigator dialog, or you have selected one or more pages in the page navigator. Or you have selected a segment in the preplanning navigator.
- No automatic change protection is activated for the selected objects.
- Select the Edit > Other > Configure protection menu items.
- In the Configure protection dialog, activate the Manual protection check box.
- Click [OK].
The properties Change protection (ID 3014) and Change protection (hierarchical) (ID 3015) are assigned to the objects.
All the properties of the protected objects can no longer be changed.
The protected objects can no longer be deleted from the project.
Cancelling the manual change protection
- Select the desired objects in a navigator dialog or in the graphical editor.
- Select the Edit > Other > Configure protection menu items.
- In the Configure protection dialog, deactivate the Manual protection check box.
- Click [OK].
The change protection is canceled, meaning that the Change protection and Change protection (hierarchical) properties are deactivated for all the marked objects.
Tip:
If you have selected a hierarchy level in a navigator dialog, you can activate or deactivate the change protection for all the objects below this hierarchy level simultaneously.
