Conditional Forms

Dynamic forms in EPLAN give you the opportunity to define "sub-forms", which can be attached to conditions. This produces a so-called "main form" and the "conditional forms" assigned to it. The conditional forms must be the same form type as the main form.

Conditional forms are possible at all function-specific reports for which a function filter can be defined with the exception of the connection point diagrams. This means that the following report types do not support the usage of conditional forms:

Conditional forms are only reported at one level; if a conditional form has its own additional sub-forms, these are not considered.

Conditional forms are assigned to the object by suitable filters, with the filter reporting the selected properties.

If additional forms with filter criteria are defined in a dynamic form, they are reported as follows:
A check is made for each object, to establish whether the filter criterion matches one or more sub-forms. All the matching forms are reported in turn (sequence in dialog), with only the dynamic areas from the sub-form being reported. The form properties, the graphic outside the areas and also the header areas are ignored, and the main form continues to use them.
If no sub-forms are found for an object, this object is reported with the main form.

If a main form is stored in the project, all the sub-forms are also stored with it. The sub-forms are also considered when synchronizing the master data and when compressing.
