Automatically Generated Wiring Cut-outs for Wiring Combs

The wiring combs used in wiring systems are realized in EPLAN as a user-defined rail on the basis of an extrusion outline. To be able to route the routing connections through the wiring comb after inserting such an outline in the layout space, it was previously necessary to manually place a wiring cut-out on the wiring comb. When inserting a wiring comb, a wiring cut-out is now automatically inserted as well.

Prerequisite for this is that in the outline editor on the front of the wiring comb a mounting surface "Wiring comb front" was placed and on the rear of the wiring comb a mounting surface "Wiring comb rear".

Benefit:

Subsequent manual inserting of a wiring cut-out for the routing is not required anymore after a wiring comb has been placed in the layout space.
