Typical-Groups: Basics
In Typical-Groups you group Macro-Typicals, Script-Typicals and other Typical-Groups. This way you can define a mutual configuration user interface in a configurator for all the elements of a Typical-Group. To do so use configuration variables that you reference globally with the elements of Typical-Group. This allows you to realize the logical relations of individual product functions with each other.
If the elements are not grouped, you have to generate and configure them individually in the Project Builder. You can edit the following properties of an element in your Typical-Group:
- Status: Define whether and how the elements are to be used.
- Instances: Specify whether instances of the element are allowed. You can define the number of allowed instances.
- Variables: Specify the usage of the variables of an element by means of formulas.
