The interplay of the concepts presented above, together with the typical procedure for modeling the controller, are to be illustrated using the example of the 3-station through-feed machine represented in the diagram.
In the middle station, a clamping fixture is installed that should still be supplied with power after an emergency-off shutdown in order to prevent it from dropping the workpiece. The plans call for a control computer that has two bus couplers, both of which have access to a series of terminals as needed.
