The data exchange with EOX files (Engineering Object Exchange Format) serves to exchange any libraries (assemblies), both from the modular system and the project catalog.
Through the exchange via EOX files, the libraries (assemblies) are synchronized between employees who do not access a shared database. If the data back end is set to EOX file, the upcoming differences could be merged by means of the synchronization feature.
The following sections illustrate the data exchange on the basis of different scenarios. In contrast to the export of assemblies, the import, depending on the approach, offers various options and thus also a potential for conflict. Each of these scenarios shows which conflicts may occur and how they can be solved.
