The following steps are required to prepare the tutorial.
Import EOX files for Word tutorial
Before you can edit the Word discipline, the T_Mechatronic_Architecture and T_Mechatronic_ModularSystem libraries created in the chapter ‘Mechatronic’ must be available.
If the T_Mechatronic_Architecture and T_Mechatronic_ModularSystem are not available, please import the following EOX file:
<EEC installation folder>\install\Tutorial\Mechatronic\Mechatronic.eox.
Predefined SequenceSelectionActions used to create and open the discipline structure, the code, and the PDF file can be found in this EOX file:
<EEC installation folder>\install\Tutorial\Word\Word_Ui.eox.
Proceed as follows to import the required EOX file:
- Start EEC
- Select File > Import....
The import wizard opens with the Import dialog:
- Select Model > Engineering Object Exchange Format (EOX Format).
- Press [Next >] to confirm.
- Select Add in the Mode panel.
- Select the required EOX file in the Source section.
- Select the required libraries.
- Press [Finish] to confirm.
- Use to apply all incoming changes in the Synchronization view.
Customizing a model variable
Various model variables can be customized for Word. Only the Name for Unit for Word Parameter model variable has to be changed in order to create a connection to the existing parameters when importing the Word resources and to ensure that parameters of the same name are not created in a new unit.
- Select Model > Model variables.
- Navigate to Disciplines > Office > Word.
- Enter the value Parameter for the model variable Name For Word Parameter Unit.
- Enter the value true for the model variable Create Parameters On Demand.
- Enter the value true for the model variable Create Parameter Unit On Demand.
