You can use the formula inspector to examine all intermediate results of a formula. The formula inspector is called up via the Popup menu > Inspect a formula of a formula result.
The window of the formula inspector shows the formula in the Expression column, the determined result is displayed in the same row in the Result column. In addition the Execution time and the Calculation time are displayed in separate columns.
To examine a formula in detail the path with all the terms is expanded with the 
(Expand all) button.
With the 
(Expand error path) button only the path up to an error is expanded.
The maximum number of the expandable levels can be restricted in the preferences.
