Warning:
The master person data can only be viewed and edited in the tree structure; the list shows only the parts data but no manufacturers, suppliers, or customers.
Create master person data
Preconditions:
- You have opened the parts management: Utilities > Parts > Management.
- In the tree, you have selected the hierarchy level of customers or manufacturers / suppliers.
- Select the New popup menu item.
EPLAN automatically generates a new record with the short name New_<consecutive_number>. - Enter the data for the customer or manufacturer / supplier into the Address tab on the right side of the dialog.
Note:
The short names of customers and manufacturers / suppliers must be unique. If you accidentally enter a name which already exists, EPLAN warns you as soon as you click [Apply] or [Close]. The record can only be saved after you have assigned a new name.
Enter master person data
Preconditions:
- You have opened the parts management: Utilities > Parts > Management.
- You have selected the desired customers or manufacturers / suppliers.
- Use the Address tab on the right side of the dialog to enter data for the selected record or records. If multiple records are selected, only data that is identical or undefined (i.e., "blank") is displayed; this data can then be entered or changed globally for all selected records.
