Dialog Select scope of menu

In this dialog you specify the user mode in which you would like to define the displayed scope of the menu. This helps to significantly reduce the complexity of the program for beginners and advanced users alike.

Overview of the main dialog elements:

EPLAN has three user modes:

Every user mode has a certain menu setup defined by EPLAN. You can also change the defined mode for the next time you start the program.

Beginners have access to the functionalities that are needed to draw schematics and work with macros and the navigators.

Advanced users can furthermore use certain comfort functionalities (such a page numbering, export and import of property arrangements, printing of attached documents, etc.).

Expert users have access to all functionalities, i.e. they can also use functions that are needed for work preparation (e.g. specify system settings, edit master data, work with revisions and project options, use data backup).

Do not show this dialog again:

If this check box is selected, the Select scope of menu dialog will no longer be displayed the next time you start EPLAN and you will automatically see the newly defined menu setup.

Dialogs that you have deactivated in this manner can be reactivated under the menu items Options > Settings > User > Display > User interface using the Reactivate suppressed messages check box.
