Tab Drill exceptions (NC Export All Machines)

Use this tab to define drill exceptions. To define a new drilling exception, use a table to define the original drill hole that is to be replaced by a replacement drill hole. These programs can be used as replacement drill holes on machines running subprograms with special working steps (for example circular milling).

Overview of the main dialog elements:

Drill type:

The available drill types of the original drill hole can be selected from a drop-down list:

Subtype:

If the "Rectangle" drill type is pre-selected, other subtypes become available for selection:

1st dimension / 2nd dimension / 3rd dimension:

Size value of the original drill hole; dependent on selected drill type.

Subtype replacement:

1st dimension replacement / 2nd dimension replacement / 3rd dimension replacement:

Outline name replacement:

File name of a user-defined outline of the replacement drill hole.

NC program replacement:

Name of the subprogram on the NC machine that is to execute the corresponding drill hole (e.g., circular milling on Steinhauer machines).

Circular milled threads are known as NC programs on the machine, and can be called up as such by supplying the coordinates in the CNC file. The core hole is already generated in this NC subprogram. In the machine definition of EPLAN Pro Panel, circular milling can be defined with the associated NC program number.
