Utilities > Parts > Management. You have marked a part in the tree or list.
In this tab, you can enter sales information which is independent of the part type and product group selected (component, cable, etc.). This data can be specified once per part.
Overview of the main dialog elements:
Select the appropriate unit for the part from the drop-down list, e.g., item, m, mm². You can also enter a new unit manually.
Enter the number of units here which are contained in one packaging unit.
A shipping carton might contain 10 light bulbs; in this case, the Quantity/packaging is "10".
Purchase price/price unit / Purchase price/packaging:
There are two input fields available for two different currencies. The currency units you defined as Currency 1 and Currency 2 under Options > Settings > User > Management > Parts > [Currency] are displayed (e.g., "EUR", "USD", etc.). If the Purchase price/price unit check box is selected under [Extras] > Currencies, the price is converted automatically.
Barcodes are used to give goods a unique identification. There are several coding standard in use internationally; EAN is the most well-known. EAN stands for "International Article Number" (previously "European Article Number"); it is a product identification for traded parts. The EAN is a number consisting of 13 or 8 digits that are centrally managed and assigned to the manufacturer upon request. In early 2009, the EAN was renamed as the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). In addition to this, companies use company-specific or separate industry standards.
The content of these two fields can be included in part assemblies (parts lists, manufacturer / supplier lists, etc.) and when exporting and importing parts. The two properties Barcode number (ID 22208) and Barcode type (ID 22209) are provided (within the parts data) as placeholder texts in the relevant forms and as format elements in the settings for the labeling / manufacturing data export so that you can include these data in the reports.
Note:
Please note that when you enter the barcode number, there is no check to ensure it is unique. The data is output in the reports exactly as it is entered here. This means that no barcodes with combinations of lines and gaps are generated.
The contents of the two fields cannot be translated.
A certification or testing number can be entered for each part. This is a text designation which is assigned based on a safety test. The following entry options are available in this group box:
