Pre-planning: Hook-ups

In pre-planning a hook-up is used for the graphical representation of a planning object and of the accessories required for its mounting. In addition to the graphical display such a hook-up contains a listing in tabular form of the mounting accessories that shows the parts to be used.

Pages with hook-ups are generated in EPLAN by means of the report type "Assembly/Module overview". Such a report delivers overview pages on all assembly and module parts used in the project.

Hook-ups in Parts Management

The hook-ups for the pre-planning are realized as assemblies in the parts management. You must have corresponding assemblies and associated parts available in the parts management so that you can output hook-ups:

If a graphic is to be displayed for a hook-up, the respective assembly of a macro must be stored with the desired graphical display.

Hook-ups at planning objects

In order to assign a hook-up to a planning object, branch to the part selection in the Part tab and there select the desired assembly part.

Notes:

The Hook-up (ID 44056) property can also be used to a hook-up at the planning object. You can select the property for the display in the property table of the first tab. This property shows you the first assembly part from the "Hook-up" product group that is entered in the Part tab.

Output as assembly/module overview

For reports with the report type "Assembly/Module overview" both the modules as well as the assembly parts existing in the project are output as overview pages by default. To restrict the output to the assemblies for hook-ups you must restrict the output by means of a filter.

In the supplied forms for the assembly/module overviews a placeholder text for macros is placed that is replaced by the graphic of the macro stored in the parts management for reports.
