Additional control points can be inserted in any positions of the run of a curve. By subsequently modifying the new control points by means of the Change curve run function, the form of the curve and its position in space can then be changed.
- Select the menu items Edit > Graphic > New control point.
The status bar displays the prompt "Select freely routed connection or curve" (1). - Select a curve in the layout space or in the layout space navigator.
The status bar shows the prompt "Select position for new control point".
The existing control points are displayed as blue cuboids on the curve run.
The new control point is displayed as a red cuboid on the cursor (2). - Move the new control point on the curve run.
- Place the new control point at the required position on the curve run.
The new control point is displayed on the curve run as a blue cuboid (3).
You can then place further control points.
Tips:
- You can change the curvature of the curve at a control point by means of the [Home] and [End] keys.
- You can change the gradient of the curve at a control point by means of the [Tab] key and the [Tab] + [Shift] key combination.
