Log usage of libraries
This functionality is only available to you in the EPLAN Platform.
You can log the usage of your libraries. You can, for example, report which library, which configurator and which configuration variables were selected in the Project Builder and whether errors occurred during the generation of the project documentation. Have the data sent as a JSON file to any server address.
- Click Libraries in the navigation bar.
- Select a library in the selection area.
- In the working section, click Logging.
- Enter the server address to which the log should be sent.
- If necessary, select the check boxes for the following options:
- Configurator: You receive information about which configurator was selected in the Project Builder.
- Configuration data: You receive information about the data (e.g. configuration variables) that were selected for the configurator.
- Error message: You receive information about possible errors that occurred during the generation of the project documentation.
- Click Apply.
- The settings are saved.
- The log is sent to the desired server address as soon as a project documentation is generated with the Project Builder.
A dialog opens.
The name of the library that was selected in the Project Builder and the name of your organization are always transferred by default.
Example: Log (extract)
In this example, information about the configurator and the configuration variables was sent in addition to the data about the library and organization.
