Delete projects
Strictly speaking, when you work with projects in eView you are only working with a project view. The project, in the form of the backup file (*.zw1), is available in eManage. The backup file only can be managed and edited in eManage, see eManage. Changes such as redlinings or greenlinings, for example, are only possible in the project view in eView. They have no effect on the backup file in eManage.
Therefore, if you delete a project in eView, you delete only the project view. The project in the form of the backup file is still available in eManage.
If you delete the project in eView, you delete the total project and all project versions. The project is deleted in eView, but the backup file (without redlinings and greenlinings) is still available in eManage. If you want to delete the project completely from the Eplan Cloud, you must delete the project in eManage.
- Click the Delete drop-down list.
- Click Delete project.
The project and all project versions are deleted.
You have the possibility to delete only the current project version and keep older project versions.
- Click the Delete drop-down list.
- Click Delete latest version.
The current project version is deleted. Older versions are preserved, including the redlinings and greenlinings contained in them.
You have the possibility to delete older project versions.
- Open the "Older versions" drop-down list.
- Click the
icon next to the project version that you want to delete.
The older project version is deleted. Other versions are retained, including the redlinings and greenlinings contained in them.
If you delete a project in eView and add the same project again at a later time, an initial project version of the project is created in eView. At the same time, the backup file is uploaded to eManage and the same-named project existing there is overwritten.
