A text field can be placed anywhere in the working window. To create a text field, you can use the mouse and the keyboard. Both techniques can be combined.
Using the mouse
- Click the Text button on the toolbar.
- Create the text field by clicking on the desired location in the working window.
- Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Text button again, if desired.
Using the command bar
- Click the Text button on the toolbar.
- Determine the desired text properties in the command bar, click Apply and drag the text to its desired location, or determine the X and Y coordinates of the text and click [OK], or combine the two methods described above and click [OK].
- Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Text button again, if desired.
Display project properties using a text field
It is possible to have a text field display specific project or document properties instead of plain text:
- Click an existing text field.
- In the text field's Properties panel, in the General section, double click Text.
- Use the Formula editor to display specific properties.
