Creating Texts

A text field can be placed anywhere in the working window. To create a text field, you can use the mouse and the keyboard. Both techniques can be combined.

Using the mouse

  1. Click the Text button on the toolbar.
  2. Create the text field by clicking on the desired location in the working window.
  3. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Text button again, if desired.

Using the command bar

  1. Click the Text button on the toolbar.
  2. Determine the desired text properties in the command bar, click Apply and drag the text to its desired location, or determine the X and Y coordinates of the text and click [OK], or combine the two methods described above and click [OK].
  3. Repeat the command by using the space bar or clicking the Text button again, if desired.

Display project properties using a text field

It is possible to have a text field display specific project or document properties instead of plain text:

  1. Click an existing text field.
  2. In the text field's Properties panel, in the General section, double click Text.
  3. Use the Formula editor to display specific properties.
