Two types of constraints are available in workspace and workdesk:
- Simple constraint: This constraint is created between any existing objects with the Create simple contraint command. This type of constraint supports Switching Constraint Orientation.
- Offset constraint: This constraint is created when a library component is placed on another component using the surface / edge / circle / arc snap. This type of constraint has an offset property. The offset is zero by default, but can be changed in the constraint's property grid.
Constraints are visible in the workdesk / workspace tree view in the Constraints node.
If you move / rotate an object with master constraints, all objects with subordinate constraints are moved / rotated as well. If you move / rotate an object with slave constraints, only the actual object is moved / rotated.
Constraints can be deleted by selecting the constraint and pressing the Delete key, or from the property grid of the master or slave object.
