Information about external documents

The Data Portal API end points now also provide information about external documents for parts.

Open release notes

You can now open the Cloud Release Notes directly in the Data Portal via the menu in the navigation bar.

Information about the data source

The data supplier is now displayed in addition to the manufacturer in the parts list, the detail view and the selectors.

Global Asset ID information

The Global Asset ID is now displayed in addition to the part number in the parts list, the detail view and the selectors.

External data sheets

You can now call up external data sheets for EDS compliant parts via the drop-down list.

Improved DXF data download

You can now also download DXF data if not all parts of a multiple selection have DXF data.

The Data Portal API end points now also provide information about part variants.

New functions and optimizations

The data management of the Eplan Cloud now offers a central cloud-based environment for the management of your engineering data, including project data, parts data and master data. Within an organization, users can work together on the data, which is thus kept up-to-date. In addition, the data management supports the data exchange between the Eplan Cloud and a locally installed Eplan solution as of Version 2027.

Management of parts data

The new Parts data area extends the data management with the management of parts data. Your parts data are maintained in databases and can be created and edited by all users of an organization. In addition, parts data can be uploaded, downloaded and synchronized between the Eplan Cloud and the installed Eplan solution.

Management of master data

The Master data area has been extended with new functionalities. Master data can now be added and managed directly via the data management. This includes uploading individual files or entire folders as well as deleting data. The Eplan scheme technique can also be used to synchronize master data between the cloud and the local Eplan solution.

In addition, the roles and rights concept for master data has been changed. Access to master data and the associated functions are no longer bound to a specific role and are regulated uniformly for all users within an organization. This allows all users of an organization to view and edit all master data.

Management of parts data and master data

Eplan Version 2027 introduces changes to the management of parts and master data in the Eplan Cloud.

As of Eplan Version 2027

Users who work with Eplan Version 2027 and already manage parts and master data in the parts management (eStock) have to migrate their data into the data management (previously eManage) of the Eplan Cloud. The new functionality "Migrate collection" in the parts management helps you to migrate data. With Eplan Version 2027, the interface to the parts management (eStock) in the installed Eplan solution is no longer included. Instead, the interface to the data management is now available.

The data management combines the management of project data, parts data and master data at a central location. A separate area is available for managing your migrated parts data. In addition, the functions in the Master data area have been extended. Further information on data management is available here.

Up to Eplan Version 2026

Users of Eplan Version 2026 or an earlier version can still use the parts management (eStock) in the browser as well as via the interface in the installed Eplan solution.

New supported file format

In the Projects area, files in the format *.mtpx can be uploaded.

Release "App-specific settings"

Make settings for your apps. These settings are also user-specific and therefore do not affect other users. Additional information is available here

Functionality discontinued

The "eView AR" functionality has been discontinued and is no longer available.

Redlining notification

You can now specify which users or teams are to receive notifications about redlinings - at the project level as well as at the redlining level. If the redlining is changed to the Review status, all selected users and teams receive an e-mail.

User-friendliness

The sign-in process for new users has been improved.

Improvements in sharing a project

In the project overview, both functional as well as optical modifications were made for the "Share" functionality.

Moving elements in tables

The Move action is now available in the tables for elements of Typicals, Typical Groups and configurators. With this action, elements (for example macros and scripts) can be moved flexibly to another position within the respective table. Several elements can also be moved simultaneously.

Library versions can now be exported individually. Further information is available here.
