A loop is a location where a physical dimension is measured. With loop symbols a distinction is made between the measurement location and the evaluation location. A loop usually consists of different components. These include a sensor, measuring transducer and corresponding evaluating device. Various devices, such as writers, digital displays and process control systems, can be used for evaluating and displaying.
