You have opened a project. Edit > Other > Configure protection.
Information about the protection of the marked objects is displayed in this dialog. You can recognize whether an automatic or manual change protection and / or device protection is activated for the respective objects.
Overview of the main dialog elements:
Change protection group box
The change protection serves to protect the objects in a project (pages, functions, segments from the pre-planning, etc.) against any kind of change. The respective objects cannot be edited, deleted, etc. subsequently and all the fields are grayed out in the respective property dialogs. For the objects with such a protection the properties Change protection (ID 3014) and Change protection (hierarchical) (ID 3015) are activated. Only the property Change protection (hierarchical) is activated for subordinate objects, for example the functions of a page with change protection.
Deactivate automatic protection temporarily:
This check box is only available for objects with automatic change protection. It may be necessary to deactivate an automatic change protection temporarily to carry out corrections.
If this check box is activated, the protection is rescinded temporarily and you can carry out changes at the "unlocked " objects. The information about the type of automatic change protection is retained. After you have completed the correction be sure to activate the change protection again by deactivating the check box.
Warning:
Please note that changes to or deleting of protected objects can result is faults at the associated functionalities (for example when storing subprojects)!

This check box is only available for objects without automatic change protection. If this check box is activated, a manual change protection is assigned to the marked objects.
The manual change protection for the marked objects can be deactivated by deactivating the check box.
