Cause
Possibility 1
A part that has at least two function templates with the same connection point designations was placed in the schematic.
You have created a contactor with two NO contacts and two NC contacts in the parts management. During its creation, identical connection point designations were accidentally assigned to the function templates for the NO contacts. You then placed the contactor in the schematic from the part master data navigator.
Possibility 2
A new device with at least two function templates with the same connection point designations was predefined in the device navigator.
You have created a contactor with two NO contacts and two NC contacts in the parts management. During its creation, identical connection point designations were accidentally assigned to the function templates for the NO contacts. You then select the device in the device navigator from parts selection using the New device popup menu item.
Solution
- For both options, use the Go to (...) functionalities of the Search results dialog to locate the device in the schematic or device navigator.
- Open the properties of the main function of the part or device and identify the associated part in the part selection using the Parts tab.
- Compare the connection point designations on the function templates and make a note of them.
- Close parts selection and the properties dialog and open parts management using the Utilities > Parts > Management menu items.
- In the tree view, go to the part identified and select it.
- Bring the Function templates tab to the front and change the connection point designations that appear more than once on the function templates, so that each function template has a unique connection point designation.
- Close the parts management and confirm all the messages that follow by clicking [Yes].
- Then start a new check run.
Note:
Function templates without connection point designations that are assigned more than once do not trigger this message.
