eCl@ss is a standardized, cross-trade classification system for product groups, product characteristics and services with the aim of simplifying electronic trading of classified products. It was initiated by international companies and classifies a wide spectrum of industrial products. As a standard for product data exchange between suppliers and customers, the system is used especially in electronic purchasing systems that access the catalogs of numerous suppliers.
eCl@ss is a member of ETIM and vice versa. This ensures that both classification models are harmonized.
