Improvements in the Property Dialog for Bus Ports

In the property dialog of bus ports you specify the properties that a bus port has within a bus system in the Bus data tab. This tab has been structured more clearly and various improvements have been realized.
- Input fields for the logical network moved to the property table
- Display of additional information about the bus system
- Automatic acceptance of the configuration project from the PLC box.

Input fields for the logical network moved to the property table

Since the specification of a logical network is only required for certain bus systems, the respective input fields have been removed from the tab. Instead the properties Logical network: Name (ID 20414) and Logical network: Bus port is master (ID 20310) are now available to you in the property table.

Display of additional information about the bus system

Additional information about the selected bus system that is relevant for the behavior during the PLC data exchange is now shown in an info area below the Bus system field. In the process combinations of the following entries are shown:

Benefit:

Thanks to the information additionally shown you can recognize during the selection of a bus system which data is exported during the PLC data exchange and which fields have to be filled (for example Physical network: Name or Logical network: Name).

Automatic acceptance of the configuration project from the PLC box

At bus ports it is now no longer necessary to enter a configuration project. If the Configuration project field is empty, the configuration project is automatically determined by the associated PLC box (to be more precise the main function). The new property Configuration project (automatic, at bus ports) (ID 20581) is available in the Bus data tab for displaying. This property outputs the manually entered configuration project or, if it is empty, the configuration project of the associated PLC box (main function) at a bus port.

Benefit:

The automatic acceptance of the configuration project from the PLC box makes configuration easier when copying and pasting macros. After copying and pasting a PLC box with bus ports it is now no longer necessary to also change the configuration project at the bus ports when changing the configuration project at the PLC box.

With the project correction you can delete the configuration project entered at the bus ports if it matches the configuration project of the associated PLC box.
