If you have stored macros at planning objects, you can create the detail planning from them. To this purpose you can place these macros on existing project pages or automatically create pages on which the macros are placed.
Note:
When placing macros, the macro boxes are generally placed, too. The functions, placeholder objects, etc. contained therein are identified on the basis of the macro box and can be updated in detailed planning, if required.
Placing with selection of the representation type
In the pre-planning navigator you can use the Place popup menu item to place a macro entered at the planning object on an existing project page. In the subsequent dialog Place device select the representation type in which the macro is placed for the part macro.
If no macro is stored at the planning object, the part macro stored at the part is placed (if available), otherwise the macro selection can be opened by using the subsequent dialog Place device.
Placing via drag & drop
You can drag & drop planning objects with assigned macros from the tree view of the pre-planning navigator into the page navigator. If a page macro is assigned, a new schematic page is generated by default. For an assigned window macro one new schematic page can be generated per representation type in the macro. The page names are determined automatically on the basis of the structure identifiers of the higher-level segments of the planning object. Depending on the project setting Take into account only structure identifiers of the structure segments single components of structure identifiers that were entered at the planning object are additionally entered in the page name.
Also in the case of a multiple selection of planning objects a new project page is created by default for each macro.
One or more macros can be placed an existing or new page by using the project setting Place several macros on one page. In this case the macros are placed consecutively on one page under consideration of the settings for the distance to the page margin and the space between the macros until no space is available for the next macro on the page. Then a new page is generated and the next macros are placed there.
By default the macros are placed next to each other. You can specify that the macros are placed below each other on one page by using the project setting Place macros below each other.
If a page is created from a macro that is stored at a planning object, this page is entered automatically at the planning object in the list of assigned pages.
Updating macros
Various options are available for updating the macros placed on the project pages or their data:
- Place macros again:
If a stored macro is replaced by a different macro at a planning object in pre-planning, you can replace the macro placed on the project page. To this purpose select the popup menu item Update detailed planning in the pre-planning navigator and activate the check box Place macros again in the subsequent dialog of the same name. The previously placed macro for the planning object marked in the pre-planning navigator is then deleted and the new macro subsequently placed. - Update placeholder objects:
Placeholder objects in macros can be used to apply data from the properties of planning objects to the placed functions in the detailed planning. If you have modified the planning object data in pre-planning (e.g. selected another value set for a placeholder object in the macro), you can use the updating of the detailed planning to also transfer the modified data to the placeholder object placed in detailed planning. To this purpose select the popup menu item Update detailed planning in the pre-planning navigator and activate the check box Update value sets of placeholder objects in the subsequent dialog of the same name. - Update macro in schematic:
If you have modified the data of a macro (for example because components were replaced in the macro), you can use the Update macro popup menu item of a schematic page to update the macro belonging to the marked macro box. Graphical information such as property arrangements or formatting originate from the macro and are thus correspondingly modified, while logical information is maintained during an update.
