Dialog Edit in table - <Project name>

In this dialog, the data from the selected objects are shown in the form of a table and can be edited. If more than one object type is contained in the selection (functions, connections, macros, interruption points, potentials, pipings, segments), separate tabs are displayed for the respective object types.

Note:

If you modify the selection while the dialog is open, you must update the display in the dialog via the Edit in table popup menu item.

Overview of the main dialog elements:

Scheme:

Only available for functions and connections. For functions and connections select a separate existing scheme respectively from the drop-down list which will specify the column configuration. Click [...] to open the Settings: Edit in table dialog which you can use to create or edit a scheme.

Table:

The columns defined in the selected scheme or in the Configure representation dialog are shown in the table. Certain data are only displayed here (the fields are then grayed out), and others can be edited. Every object selected is shown on its own line.

Editing of functions

You can edit the entries in the Name visible column to (e.g.) change the identifier letter and counter of devices. If you change any entries here, the automatic DT syntax check will be carried out as in the Properties <...> dialog.

Editing of connections

  • The properties of the highlighted connections are displayed in the tabular editing dialog or the Connections tab. This takes into account all connection definition points that have been placed on the connection. If different values have been entered for a property on the connection and the associated connection definition points, the value of the graphically first connection definition point is displayed for which this property has already been filled.
  • Whether the data displayed in a line comes only from the connection, or also from associated connection definition points, can be seen in the Connection definition point exists column. If at least one connection definition point has been placed on the connection, the check box will be activated.
  • If you modify the value of a connection property on the Connections tab, this changed value will be carried over both to the connection and to all associated connection definition points where the property was filled. Empty properties are not overwritten.
  • If the connection does not have connection definition points, and you modify the value of a property, a connection definition point will be placed automatically, and the property value will be entered there.

Editing of macros

The tabular editing dialog or the Macros tab displays the properties of the macros contained in the selection. You can edit these properties in a macro project. In a schematic project, the property data is only displayed, and you cannot edit it.

Popup menu:

The popup menu provides - depending on the field type (e.g. date, integer, multilingual) - the following menu items that are, depending on the situation, available for influencing the table or editing the values in the fields. You can find an overview of these popup menu items in the section Popup menu items.

In addition, the following dialog-specific popup menu items are available:
