Cause
The properties of a signal that you have specified by means of a potential definition in the form of a potential definition point or potential connection point at a connection deviates from the properties of the associated potential (having the same name of potential). The potential type, the potential value or the frequency data can be contradictory.
At a potential definition in the schematic that is specified as a potential definition point with the potential name "P100" and has been inserted as a potential connection point, a connection branches via the fuse "-F222" to the signal lamp "-H8". For the connection between these two devices, a signal with the potential name "P100" and the signal name "S100" was defined via a further potential definition point. While a potential value of 24 V is noted at the potential definition point inserted as a potential connection point, the value "220 V" is entered at the signal "S100" of the connection with the potential name "P100".
Solution
- Open the potential navigator.
- Locate the potential definition of the signal in the potential navigator using the Synchronize selection functionality offered by the popup menu in the Message management dialog.
The potential and the signal name of the connection is marked accordingly in the potential navigator. - Use the popup menu item Go to (graphic) to jump from there to the potential definition point or the potential connection point of the signal in the schematic.
- Call up the property dialog of the potential definition and notate the values in the property fields Potential type, Potential value and Frequency.
- Close the property dialog.
- Jump from the dialog of the message management via the popup menu item Go to 2nd Coordinate to the potential definition of the potential which has the same potential name as the signal.
- Call up the property dialog here as well and compare the properties listed above with those of the signals at the connection.
- Standardize the property values either at the signal and / or at the potential.
- Confirm your entries.
- If required, start a new check run.
