To edit the properties of symbols or texts, it is necessary to select their insertion points. The Insertion points button in the View tab of the ribbon makes it easier to find the insertion points: If this button is activated, the insertion points of symbols and texts are highlighted by a black square.

Precondition:

You have opened a project. You have opened an editor such as the graphical editor, the plot frame editor, etc.

1. In the View tab in the command group General activate the button Insertion points, or press the [i] key.
   
   The insertion points are displayed as small squares.
2. Deactivate the button Insertion points, or press the [i] key once more.
   
   The insertion points are hidden again.
