P004019: No sensor at input

Cause

No sensor can be determined for the PLC Input during target tracking.

Possibility 1

No function is connected as a sensor at the PLC input. This is also the case if, for example, you have created a PLC input in the device navigator but have not placed it yet.

Possibility 2

The Type of signal at the PLC input and / or sensor is set incorrectly for a connected sensor. The target tracking definition might also be missing at a terminal or pin upstream of the sensor.

Solution

Regarding option 1

  1. Check whether a function is connected at the PLC input.
  2. If not, insert a function and connect it to the PLC input. Or place the PLC input in the schematic and connect it with a function.
  3. Update the connections.
  4. If required, start a new check run.

Regarding option 2

  1. If a sensor is connected with the PLC input, first double-click the PLC input.
  2. In the Properties <...> dialog, select the Symbol / function data tab.
  3. Click [Logic].
  4. Check the Type of signal property for the PLC input in the Connection point logic dialog. This property must match the function definition! If, for example, you entered a PLC connection point with the function definition "PLC connection point, DI" or "PLC connection point (fluid), DI", the type of signal field must be set as a "Digital input".
  5. Also check whether the type of signal property on the sensor is set to "sensor".
  6. If a terminal or a pin is located between the sensor and the PLC input, also check the Target tracking settings in the Target tracking (PLC) to field for this object.
  7. Update the connections.
  8. If required, start a new check run.
