P017008: The DT does not conform to the settings in the 'Numbering format' field under Projects > 'Project name' > Devices > Numbering (online), 'On symbol insertion' group box

Cause

A device tag that does not conform to the specified online numbering format was found.

ClosedExample:

In the project you have specified the online numbering format 'Identifier + counter' for general devices. You have deviated from this numbering format and assigned the device tag -FA to a fuse placed in the schematic. As the 'A' following the 'F' is not a number, the program internally assigns it to the identifier. The missing counter causes the message to be output.

Solution

  1. Locate the DT in question in the project using the Go to (...) functionalities offered by the popup menu of the Message management dialog.
  2. Open the property dialog for the function and on the first tab, click [...] next to the Full DT field.
  3. In the Full DT dialog, check the subdivision of values in the DT group box (Prefix, Identifier, Counter and Subcounter fields), and note them if necessary.
  4. Close the property dialog.
  5. Select the following commands: File > Settings > Projects > "Project name" > Devices > Numbering (online).
  6. Click [...] next to the Numbering format drop-down list in the On symbol insertion group box in the dialog Settings: Numbering (online).
  7. In the Numbering formats dialog, display the DT format of the device that caused the message output for the scheme used.
  8. To do this, click the [...] button of the relevant device type, for example in the General device field.
  9. In the DT format dialog, check the format elements selected and their position.
  10. Compare the DT format with the DT subdivision for the device that you noted previously.
  11. Close all the dialogs in the settings and change the device tag for the function according to the format elements defined for online numbering.
  12. If required, start a new check run.

Note:

The following items relating to the online numbering format are checked in the DT when inserting symbols:

  • The presence of a number in the DT if the corresponding format element is of the "counter" type.
  • The presence of the correct page name in the DT after a function has been placed in the schematic, if the numbering format 'Page + identifier + counter' is specified.
