In EPLAN there is a difference drawn between potentials and signals. Through the potentials, both the templates for the connection properties and the potential information are introduced to the project.
- Potentials and signals can be separately defined.
- Potentials and signals can be defined by potential definition points or potential connection points.
- Potentials and signals allow all connections with the same potential to be assigned the same properties.
- Connection definition points allow the properties of individual connections, defined by the potential properties, to be overwritten.
- Potentials, signals, and nets can be temporarily highlighted in color to provide a quick overview of their extent.
- Connections with different potential types can be given colors in the settings of the layers assigned to them.
