Displaying Connection Point Designations and Descriptions

Hide and reveal connection point designations and descriptions

Precondition:

You have opened a project. You have opened a project page in the graphical editor.

  1. Select the following commands: Tab Tools > Command group Management > Layers.
  2. In the Layer management - <Project name> dialog, open the Property placement layer.
  3. Select the Connection point designations and / or Connection point descriptions sublevel.
  4. Deselect the Visible check box to hide the elements in the graphical editor.

Rotate connection point designations and descriptions

During the symbol creation two set of connection point designations and descriptions can be created: one with non-rotated connection point designations and one with connection point designations rotated by 90 degrees. These sets are used, for example, for editing according to DIN standards. To switch between the two sets, proceed as follows:

Preconditions:

  • You have opened a project. You have opened a project page in the graphical editor.
  • You have used the symbol editor to allocate both sets of connection point designations and descriptions to the symbol.
  1. Select the following commands: File > Settings > Projects > "Project name" > Graphical editing > General.
  2. Select the Display rotated connection point designation check box.
  3. Click [OK].
