P004109: Difference between single-line and multi-line network structures

Cause

In a network structure that was configured with both multi-line and single-line, there is a difference in the network / bus cable connection points.

The check run compares the network / bus cable connection points in the multi-line and single-line representations of the same network structure. To this purpose the network / bus cable connection points are identified on the basis of the DT, the bus interface name and the plug designation.

Either the multi-line and the single-line network contain a different number of network / bus cable connection points. Or the device tag, the bus interface name and / or the plug designation differ in the multi-line and single-line representation at one or more network / bus cable connection points.

Solution

  1. Locate the first network / bus cable connection point of the single-line network by using the Go to (graphic) functionality from the popup menu in the Message management dialog.
  2. Track all the network / bus cable connection points that are connected to each other in both the single-line as well as the multi-line network and compare their device tags, bus interface names and plug designations. With the functionality Go to (2nd coordinate) of the popup menu you can jump to a multi-line network / bus cable connection point.
  3. If there are deviations, ensure that the multi-line representation and the single-line representation of the network structure contain the same network / bus cable connection points. Assign the same values for the device tag, the bus interface name and the plug designation at the associated multi-line and single-line network / bus cable connection points.
  4. Update the connections.
  5. If required, start a new check run.

Note:

This check run is "project-specific". This means that the check run is only performed if you have marked the project name in the page navigator or have selected the Apply to entire project check box in the Check project dialog.
