Cause

The actual total weight of an enclosure is calculated from the sum of the weights of all part placements and routing connections installed in the enclosure and is output in the Total weight (ID 36108) property at the part placement of the enclosure.

The basis for the calculation is the part property Weight (full) (ID 22233) for "normal" part placements and length-variable items, and the part property Weight / length (ID 22067) for routing connections.

In the concrete case no value was entered in the corresponding part property for at least one part placement installed in the enclosure during the total weight calculation of the enclosure.

The full DT of the corresponding enclosure is output in the dialog of the message management in the placeholder '<x>'. The part property for which no weight specification is available is displayed in the placeholder '<y>'. The DT column of the message management dialog shows the part placement where the weight value is missing.

Solution

1. Locate the part placement in the layout space using the Go to (graphic) function from the popup menu in the Message management dialog.
2. Call the property dialog of the part placement and bring the Parts tab to the foreground.
3. Open the part selection at the part used and check the value at the part property Weight (full) (ID 22233) or Weight / length (ID 22067) in the Properties tab.
4. If the value is 0.00000000 kg or 0.00000000 lb (pounds), close the part selection and the property dialog and call up the parts management.
5. Bring the Properties tab to the front.
6. Enter the desired value at the used part at the property Weight (ID 22046) and save the parts data.
7. Calculate the total weight of the enclosure again. Select the following commands: Tab Tools > Command group Reports > Drop-down button [Generate project reports] > Calculate total enclosure weight.
