P026112: The device cannot be exported because of an invalid generic product group

Cause

During the export of the AML file a device was determined in the layout space for whose part the generic product group "Undefined" or "Process engineering" is assigned to the property Product grouping. The device could therefore not be exported.

Solution

  1. Locate the part placement in the layout space using the Go to (graphic) function from the popup menu in the Message management dialog.
  2. Double-click the part placement in the layout space and in the dialog Properties bring the Parts tab to the foreground.
  3. Look up the part in question and close the dialog.
  4. Select the following commands: Tab Master data > Command group Parts > Management.
  5. In the dialog Parts management search for the determined part and bring the Properties tab to the foreground.
  6. In the properties table change the generic product group of the property Product grouping to "Electrical engineering", "Fluid power" or "Mechanics".
  7. Note:

The three part properties Generic product group, Product group and Product subgroup are summarized in the Product grouping part property and displayed next to each other in the value field. Click the [...] button and select a Product grouping in which a suitable value is defined for all three part properties.

  8. Click [Close].
  9. Save the modified data, and carry out a parts synchronization.
  10. Repeat the export.
