A new setting for the write protection has been added to the user-defined properties for projects and for the parts management. The new check box Write-protected on the user interface in the dialog Configure properties is available to this purpose.
Benefit:
The new write protection for user-defined properties allows the values of user-defined properties to be protected against changes by "normal" users in the user interface. Global processes (EPLAN API, imports, etc.) can, however, still change these values.
If this check box is activated, the value of the respective user-defined property is only displayed in the user interface and cannot be changed there. However, a change via the EPLAN API, via the import function (for example after external editing) or via automated interfaces (for example ERP/PDM, EEC) is still possible.
If the setting Write-protected on the user interface was activated in the configuration dialog for a user-defined property, you can no longer change the write protection in the pre-planning during the configuration of the segment properties.
