The properties of the currently selected 3D object (displayed in the 3D properties panel) can be edited to change the appearance of the object. Properties are subclassified into several groups.
Note:
If the object properties panel is closed, it can be (re-)opened via the main menu (View > Windows > Show properties).
General properties
- Name: Name of the object.
- Highlightable: Determines whether an object should be highlighted on mouse-over or not.
- Selectable: Determines whether an object can be selected by left-clicking in the workspace / workdesk working window or not.
Display properties
These properties describe the appearance of objects within the 3D working window.
- Color: Color of the object.
Advanced properties
This section contains the object-specific properties (radius for spheres, lengths for cuboids, etc.).
Note:
The availability of advanced properties depends on the selected 3D object type.
Position properties
This section defines the position of an object within the 3D working window.
- Position: Position coordinates of the object. The position is relative to the origin of the reference planes.
- Rotation: Angle of rotation of the object.
- Scale: Scaling factor of the object.
Note:
When an object is created, its Rotation value is set to "0".
