When creating objects (electrical, 3D or auxiliary objects) within the 3D window, you can take advantage of several design aids. You can switch between them via the buttons in the command bar.
- Free: This option allows you to create an object's key point anywhere. No key points of existing objects are displayed or highlighted.
- Key points: With this option you can snap the key points of the currently created object to key points of already existing objects. Moreover, this option allows you to place your key points anywhere in the 3D working window.
- Surface: Selecting this option allows you to place a key point on a flat surface of an existing object. After activating the option you select the desired surface. In the next step you can create your key point within the plane defined by the selected surface.
- Plane: Selecting this option allows you to place a key point on a selected plane (reference or auxiliary). After activating the option you select the desired plane. In the next step you can create your key point within the plane defined by the selected plane.
