Nesting of mechatronic components

Generally, there are recurring configurations in a project. To minimize configuration efforts, closed units can be formed that contain recurring components. For example, the Axis of the tutorial includes the components Cylinder, Valve, and Position_1 to Position_4. Mechatronic components can be nested for this purpose.

Apart from the actual editor menu, mechatronic components have an additional field – Components. The following figure shows that the mechatronic component Axis has the components Cylinder, Valve, Position_1, Position_2, Position_3, and Position_4:

If this axis is integrated into a project according to the above figure, the project will be as seen in the following figure:

The components Finder is launched via the Add components dialog. This dialog can be used to add mechatronic components. Functional structures can be realized by nesting mechatronic components.
