Relays and Contactors

Relays and contactors are connectable objects used for switching electrical circuits. For this purpose, they have a special pin property Contact / coil index.

There is a 3D window available for relays and contactors. It serves to model a 3D representation including pins for further use in the EPLAN Harness proD workspace.

It is also possible to create a 2D representation of relays and contactors. It can then be used in the EPLAN Harness proD nailboard. The 2D window is not active by default, but you can add it via the Add 2D function from the Part menu or the button from the toolbar.

Note:

A connecting point is automatically created in the 2D window. The connecting point determines the position of the object's symbol in the nailboard.

Relays and contactors have the same properties as connectors, however - unlike connectors - their pins do not have the Pin designation property. Instead the pins have the Contact / coil index property.
