Dialog call:
You have opened a project. Options > Settings > Projects > "Project name" > Cross-references / contact image > General.
Using this dialog you can influence the display of cross-references and contact images on a project-specific basis.
The following dialog elements are available:
In this group box you can specify the following settings:

By row / By column: Select the desired option for the display of general cross-references.

Number per row / column: Define how many cross-references are to be displayed per row or column. If the quantity is greater than the default value of "1", then the cross-references are displayed in a matrix.
The representation type is By row and the Number per row / column is set to 3:

If the representation type is changed to By column, the cross-reference display looks like this:

In this group box you can specify the following settings:

Ahead of the page: Here you enter the character to be displayed before the cross-reference page name.

Between page and column: Here you enter the character to be used as a separator between the cross-reference page and column designations in the display.

Between row and column: Here you enter the character to be used as a separator between the row and column designation of the cross-reference.
This separator and the row specification will, however, only be displayed if the plot frame uses an appropriate division system.
Contact image table:
In this group box you can specify the following settings:

Labeling: Enter the characters to be output for NO and NC contacts here (e.g., "NO" and "NC"). These characters appear as table headers if, in the Settings: Contact image on component and Settings: Contact image in path dialogs you select the Show in tabular form check box.

Width / height: Here you enter the maximum width or height of the contact image table. These settings are only taken into account, if, in the Settings: Contact image on component and Settings: Contact image in path dialogs, you select the Show in tabular form check box and the Table cross with variable length check box is not selected.
To distinguish between the different cross-references, a prefix in the form of a desired character or character string can be defined for every type of cross-reference. In this table, you specify the various settings for cross-references to certain page types.
The marker text is displayed in the cross-reference at each main function.
Prefix for cross-reference (external):
Use this field to determine a prefix for the identification of the cross-reference type Cross-reference (external). The prefix can be any character or character string.
The "Cross-reference (external)" is generated in connection with the editing of subprojects. All functions and / or interruption points in the subproject which point to corresponding functions and / or interruption points in the original project automatically receive this cross-reference.
Display full structure identifier in cross-reference:
If this check box is activated, the full identifier structure of the cross-referenced devices is displayed in the cross-reference in addition to page and schematic path information (row / column).
In a project, the identifier blocks "Higher-level function" and "Mounting location" are used. The structure identifier for the identifier block "Higher-level function" is "AA1", the structure identifier for the identifier block "Mounting location" is "BC1":
In the project there is a switch "-S3" with an auxiliary contact. The functions of this device are distributed across different schematic pages of the project. The main function of the switch is placed in column 8 on the schematic page with full page name "=AA1+BC1/1", the auxiliary contact of the same name is in column 5 on the schematic page with full page name "=AA1+BC1/2". The creation of cross-references is between both devices:
If the Display full structure identifier in cross-reference check box is activated, the entry "=AA1+BC1/2.5" is displayed in the cross-reference at the main function of the switch on page "=AA1+BC1/1" . At the auxiliary contact on page "=AA1+BC1/2", the cross-reference reads correspondingly "=AA1+BC1/1.8". If you deactivate the check box, both cross-references will only display the page and column information without structure identifiers.
Apply cross-reference abbreviation rules to DTs:
If this check box is selected, then the cross-reference abbreviation rules are not only used for the page information but also for the full DT.
Note:
Activating or deactivating this check box is only possible if the check box of the Display full structure identifier in cross-reference setting is deactivated.
In the illustration below, the higher-level function / mounting location information is identical in the DT and the cross-reference and is thus redundant.
The information /101.4 is totally sufficient as cross-reference and it is therefore sensible to activate the check box here.
If this check box is selected, the display of page numbers is always suppressed.
If all identifying properties are identical, then selecting this check box allows the page number also to be suppressed.
An NO contact K1 is on the same page as the coil of the same name. In the settings, the separator ahead of the page is selected as "/" and the separator between page and column is selected as ".". At the NO contact, which is an auxiliary function, the cross reference is displayed as "/2.6" below the DT.
If the Suppress identical page check box is selected, then the auxiliary function cross reference is only ".6".
Always display separator before the page:
This setting controls the display of the separator if the Suppress identical page check box above it is activated:
If the check box is enabled, the separator before the page will always be displayed.
If the check box is deselected, no separator is displayed.
Put cross-reference in parentheses:
To satisfy the GOST standard (a Russian national standard), cross-references must be placed in parentheses: Select this check box if this is required.
Auxiliary functions also refer to the device tag list:
If this check box is selected, cross-references are not only displayed at the main function, but also displayed at the auxiliary functions of a device that is distributed over the schematic. These cross-references also point to the device tag list in which the main device is listed.
Suppress document type separator:
If this check box is selected, then the document type separator that you defined in the page structure is suppressed in the cross-reference.
Rows and columns in cross-reference: Swap row and column information:
If this check box is selected, then the sequence of the display changes. The separators defined in the Separator group box are not changed by this.
