All the display settings and data for a plug you have selected are displayed in this dialog. These settings are stored in a scheme. If the plug consists of several plug definitions (for example in the case of separate representation of male and female pins) you do not edit the entire plug in this dialog, but only the plug definition currently selected.

If the plug contains pins consisting of a male and a female pin, then for each male / female pin pair there will be two lines displayed, and the connection between the two will be shown graphically. You can number pins via the popup menu. In addition to the properties of the pins the properties of the connected connections can also be displayed.

Overview of the main dialog elements:

Scheme:

Here you select a scheme from the drop-down list to define the settings. Click [...] to open the dialog Settings: Column configuration. There you can edit existing schemes or create a new scheme.

Table

The columns defined in the selected scheme will show in the table. Properties which cannot be changed are grayed out. The following columns can, amongst others, be displayed:

• Target (female pin end) / Target (male pin end): Shows the connected target (component) on the female / male pin end of the plug connection. The full device tag and the connection point designation are shown.
• Cable (female pin end) / Cable (male pin end): Shows the connected cable on the female / male pin end of the plug connection. The full device tag of the cable and the connection color/number are specified.
• Function text (female pin end target) / Function text (male pin end target): Shows the function text of the connected target (component) on the female / male pin end of the plug connection.
• Placement (female pin end target) / Placement (male pin end target): Shows the placement of the connected target (component) on the female / male pin end of the plug connection. The complete schematic page name and the column designation are shown.
• Jumpers (female pin end) / Jumpers (male pin end): Graphically represents an existing saddle jumper at the female / male pin end of the plug connection.
• Pin designation (female pin end) / Pin designation (male pin end): Shows the designation of the pin on the female / male pin end of the plug connection.
• Potential type of connection points (female pin end) / Potential type of connection points (male pin end): Shows the potential type of the function connection points at the female / male pin end of the pin, if it is the same for all the connection points. Otherwise the "Undefined" potential type is output instead.
• Function definition (female pin end) / Function definition (male pin end): Shows the function definition of the pin at the female pin / male pin end of the plug connection.
• Connection: Graphically represents the connection (on the male / female pin end of the plug).
• Block properties [1] - [10]: These fields display the block properties defined for the pin.
• Messages in message management: If a message regarding the pin was output in message management during planning or a check run, it can be displayed by selecting this check box.
• Part number [1] - [10]: These fields display the parts assigned to the pin. A part selection is possible through the [...] button within a field.
• Part variant [1] - [10]: These fields display the part variants assigned to the pin. The part variant refers to the part number with the same index value.
• Connection color / number (male pin end) - connection designation (female pin end): Properties of the connections that are connected to the male pin end or the female pin end of the plug connection are displayed in these fields.

Toolbar:

The arrow buttons on the toolbar can be used to change the order of the pins within the plug. The complete row is moved in each case.

[Sort]:

Allows all pins on the current plug to be sorted automatically. The following options are available:

• Delete sorting: Deletes the sort code for the pins.
• Numeric: All pins whose designation begins with a digit are sorted (in ascending order of the value of the number). All other pins remain in their positions.
• Alphanumeric: The pins are sorted by their designations (first ascending by the value of the number, then alphabetically).
• By position: The pins are sorted in graphical order in the schematic according to the logic of the plot frame. Unplaced pins are sorted at the beginning of the list.
• By external cables: Pins to which (on the external side of the plug) a common cable is connected lie next to one another. This simplifies connection of the cable, since all cable connections can be placed one after another. This sorting can only be performed on connections that already belong to a cable. If necessary, automatically create a cable or define this manually.

Popup menu:

The popup menu provides - depending on the field type (e.g. date, integer, multilingual) - the following menu items that are, depending on the situation, available for influencing the table or editing the values in the fields. You can find an overview of these popup menu items in the section Popup menu items.

In addition, the following dialog-specific popup menu items are available:

Menu item	Meaning
New functions	Opens the Generate functions dialog, allowing several functions to be simultaneously generated.
Customize row	Opens the Customize row dialog. The setting made there for the row height has an effect here on all rows of the table. The possibility to emphasize the text in bold is not available here.
Number pins	Opens the Number pins dialog.
Properties (global)	Opens the Properties (global): <...> dialog. Allows the editing of the device properties.
