- Pluggable bus ports are supported.
Management of pluggable bus ports at the superior device
Pluggable bus ports are supported for the PLC data exchange as of the AutomationML AR APC format Version 1.4.0. If a device has inserts into which further devices can be plugged (for example Siemens SCALANCE router with pluggable bus adapters), the bus ports of the plugged-in devices can now be managed at the superior device.
To this purpose the new property Manage bus ports at the superior device (ID 20620) is available in the property dialog of PLC boxes in the tab PLC structure data. Activate this property at the PLC boxes of the plugged-in devices.
Benefit:
By means of the property Manage bus ports at the superior device you can now manage all the bus ports of the device and the plugged-in devices together at devices into which further devices are plugged. This way a bidirectional data exchange of devices with pluggable bus ports is possible with PLC configuration programs that support the AutomationML AR APC format Version 1.4.0.
The superior device and the associated plugged-in devices are identified by means of the properties Rack and Is placed on the rack.
Exchange of safety addresses at PLC subdevices
Safety addresses for safety modules can now also be managed at PLC subdevices. The following properties are available at PLC boxes to manage these safety addresses ("x" designates the number of the PLC subdevice 1...12):
- PLC subdevice x: Safety address: Source
- PLC subdevice x: Safety address: Target
- PLC subdevice x: Safety address: Upper value
- PLC subdevice x: Safety address: Lower value
In general the corresponding values are entered at the modules that are participants of a safety network. Detailed information on this is available from the PLC manufacturer. The properties for the safety addresses to PLC subdevices are taken into consideration for the PLC data exchange as of the AutomationML AR APC Version 1.1.0.
