Disable two-factor authentication (2FA) using a recovery code
Important
For two-factor authentication, you need a mobile device with a (TOTP-based) authentication app installed.
Using the recovery codes, you can sign in to the EPLAN Cloud and disable two-factor authentication if your mobile device is lost.
You can use up to 5 recovery codes between each activation and deactivation of the two-factor authentication. Each recovery code can only be used once.
- My settings > Sign-in
Prerequisite: My settings is open.
- Click Sign-in in the navigation bar.
- Click the
icon at Two-factor authentication.
- Enter your password or use your other account (Microsoft, Google) and click Next.
- Click Disable.
- Click Use recovery code.
- Enter the recovery code.
- Click Disable.
- You have disabled two-factor authentication.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail.
